This mid length coat from COMME DES GARCONS HOMME PLUS is made in CDG's signature boiled polyester fabric, and takes on a permanently wrinkled,  crumpled appearance as a result. These boiled polyester garments are typically produced by first constructing the garment and then washing it at extreme, but highly controlled temperatures once the garment has been assembled. The wrinkles which run throughout the fabric are heat set into the body, and the lining fabric, which is generally washed before use, ends up longer than the main. The signature orange buttons are also washed in this process, often leaving them melted and misshapen. This particular boiled polyester coat, which comes from the men's AW 2008 main line, has a large velvet applique cross stitched to the garment at the breast, and features a sharp, one-button closure which can also be buttoned up at the neck to dramatic effect.

As is often the case with boiled polyester garments, there is some pilling and fading to the body (see pictures).
